JLo’s 18-year-old child Emme, has quietly revealed a new name — Oskar — in a school Instagram post announcing plans to attend Sarah Lawrence College this fall to study theatre and studio arts.
The name change came to light through the Windward School’s graduating seniors account, which identified the teenager as “Oskar Muñiz” and used he/him pronouns. The personal Instagram profile linked in the post features transgender and same-sex identity symbols in the bio.
Emme, who has used they/them pronouns since 2022, attended their own graduation this week with JLo, grandmother Guadalupe, and Ben Affleck’s son Samuel by their side. Marc Anthony was notably absent.
JLo, who told Jimmy Kimmel she had been “crying for two months” over the twins leaving home, has not made any public statement about the name change. She simply showed up, smiled through her tears, and cheered Oskar on.
No announcement. No press tour. Just a proud mum in sunglasses watching her child walk across the stage and into a new chapter.
