During a live Twitch stream watched by hundreds of thousands, streamer Morgpie casually paused mid-conversation, clicked a clicker twice, and commanded “Place!” A man in a full PVC suit then crawled out from under her desk, settled onto a pet bed, and she tossed treats at him — before carrying on with her stream like nothing happened.
The clip exploded across social media, with furious viewers pointing out that Twitch is a platform children use freely. “Should be illegal to have content like this on a platform marketed towards kids,” one viewer wrote.
Things got worse when a fake quote went viral claiming Twitch CEO Dan Clancy said he “admired the innovation.” It was completely fabricated — Clancy never said it.
The real outrage? Twitch reviewed the clip and ruled it didn’t break any of their rules — while other streamers have been banned for far less.
This isn’t even Morgpie’s first rodeo. She has been banned and unbanned from Twitch at least ten times, usually within 24 hours, making every ban feel like a slap on the wrist.
The internet is now asking one very uncomfortable question: does Twitch have any rules left at all?
