Jennifer Lopez Has Filed For Divorce From Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez has filed for divorce from Ben Affleck, as expected. However, TMZ has learnt that there are huge twists, including the symbolism of her final decision.

J Lo filed unrepresented legal documents in L.A. County Superior Court on Tuesday. Jennifer filed pro se, without an attorney.

April 26, 2024, is her separation date. The couple married in Las Vegas on July 16, 2022, but August 20 is equally crucial in Bennifer’s history.

This marks the second anniversary of their massive, traditional Georgia wedding. Jennifer filed today, which seems unlikely.

The shocking part is that J Lo doesn’t include a prenup in her documents, and insiders tell TMZ there is none.

Any profit Ben and Jen made over their nearly two years of marriage is community property.

For instance, since they tied the knot… Ben’s starred in “Air” and “Hypnotic,” and produced “The Instigators.” He also just wrapped filming “The Accountant 2” a few days ago.

In their marriage, J Lo had “Shotgun Wedding,” “The Mother,” ‘This Is Me… Now’ and “Atlas.”

What’s shocking is that this is J.Lo’s fourth marriage and Ben’s second, and you would think a prenup would be more than obvious. Apparently, they thought this was a forever marriage, but it didn’t work out that way.

The documents show that Jennifer renounced spousal support and wants the judge to deny Ben it.

They have no children, so custody is not a problem.

Our sources indicate she filed before everything was settled financially, which is the ultimate twist.

The couple listed their Bev Hills home for sale, Ben acquired a Brentwood house, and she’s shopping for a new one, according to TMZ.

Our sources say they’re still trying to reach a resolution after months of conversations, but they’ve become increasingly hostile to the point where they’re not even talking.

So, why then did J. Lo decide to file while they’re still battling over money? Well, even though it doesn’t matter, legally, who files first in a no-fault state, sometimes PR concerns are involved when it comes to who files first.
