The final Wheel of Fortune episode featuring Pat Sajak, the show’s 43-year host, has been announced.
According to sources, Sajak’s tenure as the presenter of the venerable game show will end.
The 77-year-old game show presenter, who has already taped his last episode, will make his last appearance on the programme on June 7, according to NewsNation.
Wheel of Fortune will honour the seasoned presenter with a series of episodes titled “Thanks for the Memories” in the run-up to his final show.
Sajak declared last summer that he would retire following the 41st season of the show.
“Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last,” he said at the time. “It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all.”

Ryan Seacrest was selected the new host of Wheel of Fortune shortly after Sajak announced his retirement, with Vanna White continuing to host the game show.
“I am truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak. I can say, along with the rest of America, that it’s been a privilege and pure joy to watch Pat and Vanna on our television screens for an unprecedented 40 years, making us smile every night and feel right at home with them,” said last summer.
On Wheel of Fortune, Pat Sajak will be missed greatly! I’ve only ever known him as a host. However, I’m also eager to watch Ryan Seacrest perform in the role.
