Butt-Hurt Newsom Tries Attacking Ted Cruz But Winds Up Brutalizing Himself

There’s something almost surreal about who showed up at the Munich Security Conference this year.

What exactly is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez doing at a high-level international security summit? She holds no executive authority. She sets no foreign policy. The same question applies to Gavin Newsom — a governor whose job description is supposed to center on running California, not auditioning on the global stage. And yes, Hillary Clinton was there as well.

It’s like they were invited because President Trump’s brand of ‘us first’ is going international, and the insufferable leftist globalists who infest these ‘world events’ invited people who would reinforce their warped, insufferable – and wrong – views on policy.

There was certainly no shortage of foolishness, like AOC claiming that Venezuela was located below the equator, which somehow led to the Trump administration launching a raid in Caracas to capture Nicolás Maduro. At the same time, Newsom drew a comparison between federal law enforcement and Nazis. In response, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) pointed out that the governor is historically illiterate. He’s correct, but it seems the governor’s staff was completely unaware of the remarks made.

Naturally, his account posted, “Ted Cruz calling a dyslexic person illiterate is a new low, even for him.”

Uh, that’s not what’s happening here, bud.

Newsom’s X post got the Community Note treatment:

Senator Cruz did not refer to Governor Newsom’s ability to read but rather his knowledge of history. Historically illiterate refers to knowledge of history. Newsom left the word historically out of the original tweet which says “historically illiterate.”

Newsom is supposed to be Democratic 2028 presidential material, too. Think about that. This dude’s policies are so bad his state has to import expensive gasoline from the Bahamas.
