Time For Martial Law In Minneapolis? Roving Bands of Activist Militias Now Controlling Movement

Let’s not dance around it: Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and Gov. Tim Walz are lying sacks of you-know-what — and they have been for a long time.

Yes, yes, shocking. Absolutely no one could have predicted that politicians who presided over — and defended — a sprawling, multi-billion-dollar fraud disaster involving taxpayer money meant for vulnerable Americans might also mislead the public while actively encouraging resistance to federal law enforcement.

But here we are.

It’s hard to overstate just how much Minneapolis has slid into disorder — and how deeply local leadership has become intertwined with anti-government activists.

In recent days, Minneapolis has seen unauthorized checkpoints pop up on public streets — not official police roadblocks, but makeshift barricades set up by anti-ICE groups. At these so-called checkpoints, activists have stopped vehicles, demanded identification, and run license plates, all in the name of “blocking ICE.” They’ve stopped cars, questioned drivers and pedestrians, and essentially taken it upon themselves to control who can and cannot move freely through public roadways.

And no, the Minneapolis Police Dept. – such as they are – won’t do anything about it:

The self-styled “activists” in Minneapolis have gone well beyond passive protest — they’ve created their own license-plate databases and tracking systems to monitor ICE agents and anyone they suspect of being federal law enforcement.

They claim it’s to “protect the community” or “keep tabs” on immigration enforcement. In reality, much of the data is sloppy, unverified, and dangerously inaccurate — and it’s being used to harass and intimidate anyone they decide doesn’t fit their narrative.

Here’s the perfect example of how chaotic and error-prone it is: a well-known national reporter was interviewing members of what they call “ICE Watch” — activists running these informal patrols — when he heard people calling out what they thought were the plates of a confirmed ICE vehicle. Only after a few moments did he realize they were looking at the license plate on his rented car. That’s the credibility of their “intelligence.”

Up to now, the City of Minneapolis has effectively tolerated the creation of these illegal checkpoints, treating them as some sort of protected political expression rather than what they actually are: unlawful obstructions of public streets.

That may be changing — at least on paper.

This morning, Tom Homan announced that he had spoken directly with the Minneapolis police chief, who reportedly agreed to enforce the law and have the checkpoints dismantled. That sounds encouraging. But forgive me if I’m skeptical.

The activists have already adapted.

Many of these so-called “checkpoints” are no longer fixed barricades that can be easily removed. Instead, they’ve morphed into mobile blockades — cars parked sideways across streets, drivers ready to move at a moment’s notice.

NEW: The Minneapolis Police Officers Association blasts Democratic city leadership for allowing radical left-wing anti-ICE agitators to set up “mini-CHOP” style autonomous zones, barricading streets and creating lawless areas in Minneapolis.

“The Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis does not support private individuals or groups establishing authorized “checkpoints,” blockades, or patrol zones on public streets… Peaceful protest is a constitutional right. Impersonating law enforcement, conducting stop-and-frisk activities, or physically blocking public roadways is not.”

These so-called “checkpoints” aren’t just illegal and aggravating — they’re part of a broader tactic straight out of the insurgency playbook.

This is how territory gets occupied.

A group moves in, declares control over public space, and enforces its own rules through intimidation rather than law. Streets become theirs. Movement is allowed or denied at their discretion. They decide who belongs and who doesn’t. For the duration of their presence, they are the law — not because anyone elected them, but because no one stops them.

“I haven’t seen anything like this” says experienced ICE agent in Minneapolis on the organization and communication systems of activists and agitators who are constantly impeding operations causing agents to move operations on targeted arrests of criminal illegal aliens

On this operation I was embedded in , activists were able to locate the agents and ‘blow up the spot’, forcing agents to move the operation and not make an arrest that day.

These activists are having a real impact on enforcement operations and I got to witness in real time.

The city is taking steps to penalize hotels that have hosted, or are alleged to have hosted, federal law enforcement officials. Instead of opposing the presence of insurgents in the city, the City Council is working in collaboration with them.

All in all, it seems pretty obvious that what’s happening in Minneapolis a) is being allowed to happen by Democrats who run the place; and b) has devolved into rampant unchecked lawlessness.

There’s no way every single resident of the city agrees with this, but even if they did, President Trump would be well within his authority as commander-in-chief to declare Minneapolis in rebellion and invoke the Insurrection Act. Enough already. It’s time for these left-wing lunatics to face some real justice.
