BREAKING: Massive Anti-ICE Protest Erupts Outside Hilton Hotel in Minneapolis

Minneapolis — A significant protest against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) erupted Sunday evening outside the Home2 Suites by Hilton in Minneapolis, where demonstrators believe federal immigration agents are staying amid an escalation of enforcement operations in the city.

Hundreds of protesters gathered outside the hotel, banging on trash cans, honking horns and chanting anti-ICE slogans. Multiple videos circulating online show demonstrators painting “ICE OUT” on nearby surfaces and attempting to push into the hotel lobby. According to eyewitness footage and law enforcement reports, windows were smashed and makeshift barricades were built around the entrance.

Local authorities, including the Minnesota State Patrol and Department of Natural Resources, were called in to support Minneapolis Police as the situation intensified. Federal agents eventually deployed chemical irritants to disperse the crowd after property damage and aggressive attempts to breach the hotel perimeter.

This protest is part of a larger wave of demonstrations in Minneapolis and across the U.S. linked to heightened federal immigration enforcement — including the controversial deployment of ICE and Border Patrol agents under “Operation Metro Surge” and multiple fatal shootings during recent confrontations.

There’s no official confirmation that ICE personnel were actually staying in the hotel at the time of the protest, but tensions remain high as community groups and activists continue to challenge federal immigration operations in the Twin Cities.

More updates as the situation develops.
