It’s no secret that the vast majority of the American public – left, right, and center – have little-to-no trust in the ‘mainstream media’ and also know that the vast majority of Hollywood either has no respect for us or outright despises us, even as they expect us to keep them in their elite lifestyles by buying tickets and renting their movies. But we are fast approaching a time when even the icons of the entertainment world are going to go the way of the dodo bird, and it will be Hollywood itself that causes its own demise.

The same is true for the American legacy media. You may recall that The New York Times and The Washington Post were awarded Pulitzer Prizes for their misleading and dishonest coverage of the so-called “Russia-Russia” Trump collusion hoax. To this day, neither outlet has returned the prize or acknowledged that they should not have been honored for reporting outright lies to the American public.

In a sign that the media industry has learned little, the Emmys on Thursday nominated CBS News for its controversial handling of a 60 Minutes interview with Kamala Harris just ahead of the November presidential election. The segment led to a $10 billion defamation lawsuit from President Trump—later increased to $20 billion—with both sides now reportedly engaged in settlement negotiations. Behind the scenes, CBS’ parent company, Paramount Global, appears to be seeking a resolution as it looks to avoid regulatory complications from Trump’s FCC that could jeopardize its proposed multi-billion-dollar merger with Skydance Media.

Veteran 60 Minutes producer Bill Owens resigned amid the controversy, and longtime host Scott Pelley had an on-air meltdown last week, criticizing network leadership and lamenting that he and his colleagues could no longer shape the narrative to suit their preferences. Despite the chaos, the Emmys somehow deemed the episode deserving of a “Best Editing” nomination. Examples like this are why so many Americans view the legacy media as deeply compromised, increasingly out of touch with the public they claim to serve, and, as President Trump himself has rightly reminded us, enemies of the people.

“The irony is, some folks at ‘60 Minutes’ are popping champagne over an Emmy nomination — for the same interview that landed them in legal hot water. It’s a reminder that these awards are voted on by other journalists, not the public, not their bosses — and certainly not lawyers,” a source familiar with the inner workings of CBS News told Fox News Digital.

Yes, the irony. Only, this isn’t irony; it’s flat-out arrogance. These people hate you so much that they would risk their careers and livelihood to ‘own’ you with this ridiculous nomination. But in the end, that’s okay, because at the same time, anything that hastens the demise of the legacy media and it’s left-wing propaganda is a good thing.
