More interesting and concerning than anything Jamine Crocket has said,
I don’t care about controversial statements from Rep. Jasmine Crockett, everyone slips in the heat of debate.
I know who she is: she stands for democracy, our Constitution, social programs benefiting the vulnerable, climate action, women’s rights and healthcare, diversity/inclusion/equality, and LGBTQ+ rights, all while opposing white supremacy, racism, anti-Semitism, and hate in this country.
-What concerns me more are Trump’s stunning, disturbing, and almost surreal statements, including:
- “I mean, she’s a woman, and I’m not s’posedta say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?”
- “Blood coming out of her… wherever” — referring to Megyn Kelly after the first GOP debate.
- “I like people who weren’t captured” — dismissing John McCain’s military service and POW experience.
- “I know more about ISIS than the generals do.” (November 2015)
- “Technology — nobody knows more about technology than me.”
- “I was saved by God for a reason. I was saved by God to make America great again.” So much more…
These statements reveal a pattern of disrespect, unfounded claims of expertise, and concerning rhetoric that should raise far more alarm and fears than anything Crockett has said.
