Democratic jurists who have refuses to take the Trump administration at its word over aggressive enforcement of all immigration laws are continuing to learn the hard way they have miscalculated the current president’s resolve. On Friday, reports said yet another Democrat judge accused of aiding an illegal immigrant’s escape was arrested by federal agents just one week after another judge was permanently removed for sheltering an MS-13 gang member in his home.

FBI agents took Judge Hannah Dugan into custody on Friday, charging her with intentionally misleading federal officers to help the individual “evade arrest” while he remained hidden in the courthouse, according to a statement from Director Kash Patel. “The FBI arrested Judge Hannah Dugan out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on charges of obstruction — after evidence of Judge Dugan obstructing an immigration arrest operation last week,” FBI Director Kash Patel posted on X. “We believe Judge Dugan intentionally misdirected federal agents away from the subject to be arrested in her courthouse, Eduardo Flores Ruiz, allowing the subject — an illegal alien — to evade arrest.” The illegal alien, Flores Ruiz, was arrested a short time later.

“Thankfully our agents chased down the perp on foot and he’s been in custody since, but the Judge’s obstruction created increased danger to the public,” Patel said. Dugan, a Milwaukee County circuit judge in Wisconsin, is the second judge to be arrested by federal authorities under Trump. Democrat Joel Cano, a former New Mexico judge, was arrested by federal officials on Thursday for harboring a member of the Tren de Aragua gang originating in Venezuela. President Trump has designated that gang, along with MS-13, an international terrorist organization.

Cano resigned late last year after federal agents arrested “an illegal alien from Venezuela and a suspected member of a criminal gang” living with his daughter in a second home owned by Cano’s wife. A spokesman for the Administrative Office of the Courts said Cano “can never hold a judicial office again, be a candidate for a judicial office, or exercise any judicial authority in the state, including officiating weddings.”

Why Democrats continue to throw away their livelihoods, careers, and their futures for criminals who broke into the country and have terrorized Americans escapes our comprehension. But whether they change their beliefs or not, the Trump administration is going to continue making examples out of as many of them as dare to violate their oaths and break our laws to harbor criminal aliens.
