The touching gift King Charles gave Kate Middleton before Christmas

Royal experts have been talking about the close relationship between Prince Charles and Princess Kate for years. Apparently, the emotional connection between them has strengthened and communication has become more frequent after both were diagnosed with cancer in 2024. While Prince William tirelessly attended public events alone for six months to make up for the absence of two members of the dynasty in public, Charles III and his beloved daughter-in-law Catherine supported each other during the battle with cancer.

Now that Kate’s chemotherapy is over, their relationship hasn’t cooled any further. And King Charles recently confirmed it: realizing that he wouldn’t be able to attend the Christmas concert personally organized by the Duchess of Cambridge, the monarch gave her a touching gift a few weeks before Christmas.

As it turned out, Charles had donated a huge number of Christmas trees to decorate Westminster Abbey for a close relative, which Catherine thought it right to mention separately in one of the cards offered to guests of the holiday. Inside was written: “With thanks to His Majesty the King for the donation of Christmas trees from Windsor Great Park for the decoration of Westminster Abbey. After the service these trees will be donated to the local community.”

Moreover, this year the trees really played a big role in the concert “Together at Christmas”. Kate decided to use them not only to decorate the hall, but also as a special place to hang your personal message. For example, Prince Louis hung a message that read touchingly “Thank you for grandma and grandpa because they played games with me”

No official reason was ultimately given for why Karl and Camilla were absent from Princess Catherine’s concert. It is believed to be due to the Queen’s recovery from a recent bout of pneumonia, although the monarch has previously appeared at other public events without his wife.
