Actress and singer Jennifer Lopez and actor Kevin Costner are developing a closer relationship, and a romance could be brewing, according to a January 11 report by Closer Online UK.
The publication claims, via anonymous sourcing, that Lopez and Costner have been “talking pretty much every day” since they were photographed at the same establishment in Aspen, Colorado, over the holidays. That photo set off a round of speculation among fans, with one calling Lopez and Costner “Kennifer” on Instagram, a play on the “Bennifer” term used to describe Lopez and her now ex-husband Ben Affleck.
“I love this one! Make it happen ASAP lol,” another fan wrote on the comment thread of the site that shared the photo, Deux Moi.
The former “American Idol” judge, 55, recently finalized her divorce from Affleck. Costner, 70, has been divorced twice.
“At the moment things are still at the very beginning stages, but after they hung out in Aspen he made sure to send her a huge bouquet of her favourite flowers with a little handwritten note along with a magnum of champagne,” the source told Closer.
“Since then, they’ve been talking pretty much every day, and the plan is to get together for dinner in the next couple of weeks, when their schedules line up,” the source noted to the publication.

The source told Closer that Costner fits the kind of man Lopez is looking for.
“Kevin has a lot of the qualities she’s looking for in her next man. He’s incredibly successful and he’s someone that commands a huge amount of respect in the industry and among all their peers. Having him on her arm would make a big statement – and it doesn’t hurt that Ben has always spoken very highly of Kevin,” the source told Closer Online UK.
The source added, “Of course dating Kevin would come with a lot of attention for her. He’s something of a Hollywood icon so linking up with him would be great for her image.”
“Kevin is also very much a gentleman and loves to flash the cash, so dates with him will mean private jets and the best of everything, which certainly appeals to her as well,” the source told Closer.
