As they commemorate 13 years of marriage, Prince William and Kate Middleton published a never-before-seen wedding portrait this week.
The Prince and Princess of Wales tied the knot on April 29, 2011 (we know, how was it that long?). To commemorate their sentimental anniversary, they shared the above photo yesterday.
The aforementioned black-and-white photo features Kate clutching her bridal bouquet. William stands behind her, tenderly placing his hands around her waist.
The caption of the photo, which was posted on the couple’s social media accounts, said, “13 years ago today!”
The new picture was credited to Millie Pilkington. The image of King Charles and Queen Camilla that was made public to commemorate their coronation’s first anniversary was also taken by the portrait photographer.
Ten years before they would eventually tie the wedding, Prince William and Kate first crossed paths as undergraduates at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland in 2001. Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 6, are the couple’s three children now living together.

Even while the release of the never-before-seen wedding image might not seem like a huge deal, after Kate’s shocking cancer diagnosis was announced, royal admirers everywhere will welcome any update.
The Princess of Wales was the focus of much discussion and speculation earlier this year after withdrawing from public life after what Kensington Palace had described as a “planned abdominal procedure” in January.
In the end, Kate told everyone that she had received a cancer diagnosis; however, she did not say what kind of cancer she had or what stage it was at. She stated in the same video that she will be receiving chemotherapy in order to fight the illness.
Since then, not much has been reported about the Princess’s health or condition, even though William returned to his royal duties last week.
“He is a very reliable, strong person. She doesn’t feel isolated in this because of William, who is right beside her,” an insider told PEOPLE on the royal couple’s relationship.
William and Kate are rumoured to spend a lot of time at Anmer Hall, their country residence that is a part of the Sandringham royal estate, according to PEOPLE. Kate is reported to feel most “at home” at that location.
