Meghan Markle Bids a Loved One Farewell In a Message
The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, paid a moving tribute to her dear friend Oli Juste on the website of the animal welfare organization Mayhew.
On January 15, 2022, Juste passed away. He introduced Meghan to the work of the Mayhew, the charity she chose to support as a royal patron in 2019, after she and Prince Harry were married. He and Meghan both had a passion for animals.
Although her contract with the charity ended earlier this year, she declared she would still support the work the organization does for animals in need.
One of Britain’s top dog trainers and experts in animal behavior was Oli Juste. He is well-known to many thanks to his appearance on Channel 4’s Puppy School. In addition, he hosted his own podcast, A Dog’s Best Friend, which included a variety of guests who shared his passion for improving the lives of our four-legged friends.
Even though Oli passed away four months ago, many people just found out about the tragic news shortly after Markle’s post.
“There were new developments every day and every week, and Oli and I would talk about them and ask ourselves, ‘What can we do?’” What more can we do? “Take a look at the incredible work they are still doing,” Meghan wrote.
We will establish the Oli Juste wing at Mayhew in his honor to provide temporary housing for animals who might struggle to find permanent homes.
“Because they are loved forever and will never be forgotten, just like Oli.”
Many people who knew Oli well, either in person or via social media and TV, posted condolences on Instagram.
“Oh Oli, how disappointing to hear this, and it was only today. One individual remarked, “You were such a nice, sweet person, and so much fun. I’m amazed that I’m only now reading this. I was actually listening to Beverley Knight’s podcast on Oli’s channel today. Another person commented, “I’m fairly new to his podcasts, but I absolutely love them and have recommended them to so many people.”
In addition to being coworkers, he and Meghan were also good friends.
Peace be with you, Oli.
